Title Examination.
The core of the firm’s oil and gas practice is the preparation of title opinions for drilling, division orders, finance transactions and acquisitions.
Transactional.
The Firm represents clients in a variety of oil and gas transactional matters including negotiating and drafting of leases, farmout agreements, purchase and sale agreements, joint operating agreements, assignments, easements, seismic agreements and other documents associated with an oil and gas practice.
Acquisition Due Diligence.
We offer a wealth of experience in the due diligence phase of the acquisition of producing properties, including the preparation of limited title opinions and associated notices of title defects.
Land Owner Representation.
Our practice is not limited to the representation of operators. We also assist landowners in the negotiation and preparation mineral leases, surface use agreements, mineral/royalty deeds and seismic agreements. Our services include the review of documents to confirm operator compliance with lease terms, particularly those related to surface use, unitization and the proper payment of royalties.
