Dow Golub Berg & Beverly, LLP was founded in October 2001 by four lawyers who were each previously
affiliated with prominent and well respected Houston law firms. In 2003, the Firm welcomed Bernard O. Dow (1932-2004) as Senior Counsel; in 2005, Keith M. Remels joined the Firm as a partner; and in 2007 and 2008, Bill C. Boyd and Mark R. Zeidman were elected as partners in the Firm. Having all practiced with larger Houston
firms, the counselors at Dow Golub Berg & Beverly offer our clients a depth and range of experience commonly
found in firms several times our size, thus combining the skills of a large firm with the immediate responsiveness
of a small firm. We are large enough to assemble teams to handle major projects on a tight time schedule,
yet small enough to value our relationships with every client and give each client the personal attention
they deserve. The firm provides legally sophisticated, creative and vigorous representation in an efficient
and effective manner.
The Firm has in-depth experience in the areas of litigation, employment law, oil, gas and mineral law, and appeals, as well as business and real estate transactions. Significantly,
a number of our lawyers are certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in an area of specialization, including Civil Appellate Law, Civil Trial Law, Labor and Employment Law, and Oil, Gas and Mineral Law. Furthermore, eighty-five percent of the Firm’s partners have achieved an “AV” rating from the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. AV, the highest
rating possible, indicates very high to preeminent legal ability and very high ethical standards as established
by confidential opinions from members of the Bar. The Firm has also achieved an AV rating.
Our clientele runs the gamut from international and publicly-held companies for which we serve as regional
counsel, to locally based small businesses, and individuals with one-of-a-kind needs. Representative clients
are in financial advisory and investment management services, real estate development and management, computer
software services, the reprographics business, a hospital, construction, manufacturing, oil and gas producers,
oil field services, food services, a chain of Mexican restaurants, medicine, film production, a television
cable company, advertising, consumers defrauded by large publicly traded companies, and individuals with
employment related claims of discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination and other labor related
matters.
We are conscious of concerns about legal costs and provide skilled and quality representation within our
clients' budgetary guidelines. Our lawyers understand what it takes to deliver favorable results: solid business
strategy coupled with astute management and early planning. Given our small size, the Firm is also amenable
to handling certain litigation matters on a contingency basis, and we work with our clients on creative ways
to fund litigation.
Dow Golub Berg & Beverly, LLP welcomes referrals, associations, or consultations, including conflict
referrals and associations with other firms as local counsel.
